We Are What We Eat: An Asian American Food Event

An exciting, two-part lecture and cooking event centered around Asian American food culture!

Lecture: A lecture and discussion led by Heather Lee, a post-doc at MIT, whose book project explores the social history of Chinese restaurants through a case study of New York. She spoke on the historical transformation of Chinese restaurants in the United States from an enclave business into one of the largest mass consumer industries.

Cookin-in: A cooking lesson led by David Moon (Harvard College, '21). After the lecture, we moved to the kitchen beneath Memorial Church to make Mapo Tofu!
