Harvard at Data Equity Bill Hearing

Members of the Data Equity Coalition testified at a State House hearing about a 2019 Data Equity bill. TAPAS organized a group of Harvard students to show their support through numbers.

This bill was important in providing more demographic data to provide more information on racial/ethnic groups from a more accurate, nuanced perspective. For Asian Americans, this data equity bill would have helped dismantle the model minority myth by offering disaggregated information on various ethnic groups and pushing back against the idea that Asian Americans are a monolith.
