Jeff Yang is a featured contributor for CNN, a columnist for the South China Morning Post's Inkstone magazine, and can be regularly heard both on NPR and on his podcast, They Call Us Bruce. He was the founder of A. Magazine: Inside Asian America, which for over a decade was the nation's largest and most influential Asian American periodical, and the author of the books Eastern Standard Time; Once Upon a Time in China; Secret Identities; Shattered; and New Frontiers, as well as co-author of action icon Jackie Chan's autobiography I Am Jackie Chan. His next book, Rise, will focus on the cultural history of Asian America from the 1990s to today. Originally from Brooklyn, NY, he currently lives in Los Angeles, CA.
