We are the Taskforce for Asian Progressive Advocacy and Studies at Harvard University. TAPAS was established in 2016 under the tradition of the 1970s radical Asian American Movement.

The Task Force for Asian American Progressive Advocacy and Studies (TAPAS)is a non-hierarchical progressive student group rooted in the tradition of the 70’s Asian American Movement.

We were founded in 2016 to advocate for Ethnic Studies at Harvard College.

Breaking off from a larger progressive Asian American organization, our predecessor, The Task Force on Asian Pacific American Studies threw itself into the ongoing four-decade fight for Ethnic Studies at Harvard.

Now, we focus on a broad range of Asian American issues.

Whether advocating for anti-eviction legislation, holding educational events on AAPI history, or creating zines, TAPAS engages in a variety of activities and is totally member driven.
