Time's Up Harvard Rally

A rally for fair and neutral third-party recourse for survivors and tell Harvard #TimesUp! Hosted by the Harvard Graduate Students Union. Co-hosted by TAPAS among others.

In contract negotiations, the Harvard administration insisted that survivors of sexual harassment and race- or disability-based discrimination should have to rely on their in-house "dispute resolution" process. That means that a Harvard employee always has the final say. We've seen who that process protects, and it's not survivors. For any other contract violation, student workers can take their case before an outside arbitrator with no conflict of interest. Why won't Harvard allow harassment and discrimination survivors to access that same resource?

We demanded #NoCarveOut for sexual harassment and discrimination protections, and a #ContractNow for a safer and healthier university for all.

Cosponsors: Harvard Graduate Women in Science and Engineering (HGWiSE), Harvard Ethnic Studies Coalition, Harvard Task Force on Asian and Pacific American Studies (TAPAS), Asian Pacific American Law Students Association (APALSA), La Alianza, Lambda at HLS, Pipeline Parity Project, Harvard African Law Association, Caribbean Law Students Association, Harvard Legal Aid Bureau, HLS Labor & Employment Action Project at HLS, Project No One Leaves, HLS National Lawyers' Guild, HLS Progressive Jewish Alliance, and dozens more!
